Any tips on how to get hired? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Delicious_Night_545
Hey y'all, I've been trying to get hired by Starbucks for the past 6 months. I've applied, and reapplied at least once a month at every location within a 10 mile radius of where I live, yet I receive no calls or emails. I even call locations asking about the openings, and if they could look for my application. What more can I do to actually get their attention and an interview?

There's been a hiring freeze in a lot of places since March so not hearing back makes sense

So you definitely don’t need to keep reapplying. Your application stays in the system for six months. I don’t think that reapplying gives your application a better chance of getting picked, I believe it just replaces the application you already have on file.

Most stores aren’t currently hiring. Even if the website shows that a location is hiring, that doesn’t necessarily mean they actually are. Because they hold onto applications for so long and share baristas between stores, Starbucks is perpetually in a state of “hiring”. It doesn’t always mean that they’ve got a job opening right now.

I called like every other day for about 2-3 weeks before they looked at my application. You can always go in and say something too.
