I’m sorry your SM is so unwilling to help you guys out. That’s really upsetting potentially reach out to your DM with your concerns? I want to say you must have a kickass group or baristas/shifts to run your store and I want to thank you for working so hard even though it’s unfair. My oldest SM didn’t come on the floor unless we begged her too. My new SM is great at scheduling themself for coverage and jumping in when needed. I hope that you can get an SM who helps you achieve the results they are asking for!

Haha sometimes our SM works on the floor but it becomes more frustrating than anything because she will start to micromanage every single thing that we do. (I DO think it’s funny when she forgets how to make certain drinks and needs reminders of the recipes)

My SM stays working on the floor. He’s pretty kick ass though.

My first manager was the same except if they did come on floor they only wanted to be on till and would refuse to go on bar (they didn’t know how to do anything)

Our SM works with us.

Sometimes, I'd rather be understaffed by 1 person than have to work with her.

I feel like we have the same SM. 😂 My SM dead ass ALWAYS has admin aka watching YouTube videos and playing on her phone.

No SM needs that much admin time off the floor. At the most, they might need about 10-12 hours/week off the floor. The rest of their hours should be on the floor with their team. The exceptions might be if they have any meetings, trainings, or a heavy day of interviews maybe.
