Whether it be being understaffed for a long time and not having to train at least 4 new people a week, lots of OT (as a shift), extremely rude customers, or massive drink orders. My depression has gotten so bad lately because of burnout. And sadly not just from work, while it’s a big part. Home rn is not very relaxing so the only real rest I get besides sleeping is driving in my car listening to music or painting (on the very rare occasion I can given how busy I am with Starbucks, my other job and life).

Just grateful my manager does see it and I have a “rest week” coming up where she cut a full shift or 2 for me to have a break finally now that we have the staff.

I know of partners who call in with COVID symptoms to get a paid 10 days off. That is where we are at, people.

Can’t blame em.

I agree. I blame corporate for stripping us down to 2-3 man plays, opening up our cafes, demanding customer connection and management caring about everything BUT the baristas.

Same here dude, it's pretty rough. I'm about to request like, a week off, and just finally relax. I am like just barely holding onto any faith in humanity
