Good Morning! A few questions. (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Iwillhavejustice
I don’t work at Starbucks. I love my local Starbucks. It means so much to me. I have spent my Christmas mornings there etc.

So due to this pandemic. I’ve decided to put together gift bags for all the employees.
I want to be reasonable when I drop them off. As no one knows that I am playing this.
What would be the best time to drop off the gift bags ? When is is typically slow ? Thank you in advance.

Hey so, thanks. From the bottom of my heart, things are so hard right now I can’t even describe it. Thank you. They will appreciate it more than you know.

You all. Have no idea how showing kindness even for a second, can turn someone’s day around. Even if it’s just courtesy. You honestly have no idea how many individuals.... go to Starbucks for a “ pick me up”. I’m not speaking about caffeine. I mean hope, a Sign, human interaction, a reason to keep going, to not feel so numb, to make days feel normal while the worlds isn’t flowing.

So thank you all.

For the last few years. Starbucks has been my thanksgiving, my Christmas, etc. Of course no one knows this. I don’t like seeing individuals work on holidays. But it makes me feel so much better having something warm and cozy those mornings.

You are all appreciate.

For me at least, it’s usually the hour/hour and a half before lunch and some time after lunch rush ends. It also kinda deadens around dinner time, but that’s not very consistent for me.

Maybe this would help. It’s on a busy intersection. But in a plaza.

I dropped the bags off! It was not busy. Thank God because I received the notification that happy hour starts at two. Thank you all for answering my questions. It was helpful. I’m excited to have time to gather goodies for the gift bags.

I think this varies by store? But *probably* the least busy times are later in the evening.
Iwillhavejustice [OP] 1 points 2y ago
Great thank you. But wouldn’t the daytime and early morning employees miss out ?

I know this sounds silly. But how many individuals normally work at a store ? Like employees at a busy store would be like 15-25? .

I’m asking because I’d rather have extra gift bags handed out than not enough. Although I haven’t interacted *with all the individuals there. I don’t want to miss anyone. If it wasn’t for you all. All the “ hero’s “ wouldn’t be able to hero.

Honestly ask for the store manager, ask for each employees name (maybe they will give it maybe not, you’re a regular so maybe) then make a bag for each employee and write their name on it so nobody misses out and drop it off at any time! Each store has their own rush depending on how close they are to a college/high school, the demographic between older and younger people in the population, holidays, even certain days of the week. Just ask when would be best, and ask the manager to keep it a surprise so the employees don’t know. That’s what I would do anyway :)

Update: When dropping off the goodie bags. The manger came out she’s new. Under “ X’s “ management X unfortunately allowed for too many childish errors and behavior. With that being said, I sincerely hope the good individuals that have brighten up my days. Were not affected. :( this explains why I haven’t seen much of those guys lately.

Were you at least able to deliver the goodie bags?
Iwillhavejustice [OP] 2 points 2y ago
I would love to ask the manger. Unfortunately, earlier this year. I gave an employee a ride, when I seen him walking down the street. He was very blunt. Explaining how everyone “ loves you” but one person. I asked if it was “ X” and if she was doing alright ? Because she was very robotic whenever I would come though. He explained it was “ X “ and she was the manger who started telling everyone “ That I had to be crazy “, after I gave a Christmas gift to one of the employees that was extremely poor. (Him).

What’s odd is I immediately told the guy, “ that’s very immature, strange since I did not know her at all”. I also went on to tell him. That I had a plan to give an envelope with a bundle of cash to Surprise her(X) with a little note of encouragement. Personally had no idea If she was struggling. Turns out she’s a spiteful, immature child of a cop”. Who assumes she’s above everyone.

So asking is out of the question. I’ll be doing a bunch of bags for everyone. I’ll staple them as well so others don’t get snatched. Lol

Let’s face it. We all know if it wasn’t for you all putting the grueling hours and risking yourself a to illness. None of the hospitals, doctors offices, restaurants, schools, families, first responders, stores or deliveries would be optimal as they are.

Ask for a supervisor instead! They might be able to help you. I would go in a night. Managers usually only work mornings/until 3 or 4 at the very latest.
pink_haired_bitch 1 points 2y ago
Very true, and reading that last little tidbit made me smile :) but I still don’t understand what “X’s” problem is, I agree very immature
sparkytheboomman 2 points 2y ago
Doesn’t sound silly! Again, depends on the store. But you’re right—at night there will probably be only 2 or 3 people whereas during the day there can be up to 8 at the busiest times. I guess I thought you’d be dropping them off and people could get them over the next few days. Never will you be able to go while everyone is there. My store has 26 people but we’re a pretty busy one.
