My coworkers laughed when I made 8 liters of sweet cream but GUESS WHO'S LAUGHING NOW (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by feisty314
We had about 4-5 liters of vanilla sweet cream when I got to work at one today. I made a cube (6 liters) and a 2 liter pitcher.

"That's too much sweet cream," they said.

"Haha, overkill much?" they said.

We used it all. I had to make more at the end of the night so morning crew would have some.

For context: we are not a high volume store, at our busiest usually 25-35 half hours. Not sure what it was today because I was too tired to look.

2 cubes at a minimum in BOGO days.

All together we used about two cubes worth, just some of it was already in pitchers. I'm sure high volume stores go through much more - it's just a ridiculous amount that you don't always realize when you make it a pitcher at a time.

We go through two cubes most mornings.

Ya'll, we make a cube every four hours.

I work at a LOW VOLUME store and *we* easily make 6 pitchers of sweet cream, twice daily. So I wouldn’t have batted an eye.

Even with our unusually (and a-typically) slow Happy Hour last night, we had to make yet another round of sweet cream for the morning crew.

we go through a toddy of sweet cream every ~24 hours or so

Ok real talk my store has only ever made pitchers but we NEED to start using cubes. What’s the recipe for a cube if you don’t mind?
feisty314 [OP] 2 points 2y ago
I just make it in a pitcher and then pour it in a cube lol. But I guess 3 liters of heavy cream, 1050 milliliters (1.05 liters) of vanilla, and 1800 milliliters (1.8 liters) of 2%.

Dear God it sounds awful when you write it like that.......

Oof it really does. So much dairy. So much sugar. But thank you nevertheless!
