Catastrophe pay for who?
If you are required to quarantine by Starbucks policies, Starbucks will give you catastrophe pay twice to cover those quarantines.
If you’re asking if you get a service bonus or something similar for continuing to work while others quarantine, the answer is unfortunately no.

Thank you! I guess I misunderstood what cat pay really is. I was thinking it was the extra 3 dollars we received at the beginning of the pandemic. I was filling out a complaint on the COVID partner support and it mentioned cat pay, so it had me wondering if it meant the 3 dollars, or being paid while isolating. Thanks for the answer!

Yeah we’re all pissed they stopped the $3 extra way back when the pandemic was/is still getting worse. But you get paid twice for quarantining if the store requires you to quarantine

A very similar thing happened at our store today. Our DM would like our store to be open tomorrow for a limited drive through service. Despite having us throw away all of our stock and clean the store. I feel like we shouldn't work tomorrow, or should get paid extra. I'm trying to figure out how to say that though.

Good luck, friend. I hope this experience is easier on you than it has been on us. Our DM made us work the same day that the store was cleaned, when the cleaning company told us that we shouldn’t even be working in the fumes they used to clean.

We had to do this a few weeks ago and ended up opening the store at 12pm drive thru only. We didn’t have any signs to state this so customers were really upset pulling on the door wondering why we locked them out
