Sorry for format, I’m on mobile
This happened yesterday. I stepped on the floor for my 8am morning shift, and this is the very first conversation I hear. Omitting names for labels :)
B: Barista S: Shift Supervisor C: Customer
C: *walks in to store* I just ordered a hot CHAI latte and this is a green tea!!! It is DISGUSTING!!!
B: Oh I’m really sorry, can you come over to the register? I can get you a recovery card and a brand new drink
-transaction happened, S comes to do the card and handle everything. It’s worth noting that this S is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met-
S: You can go stand by the end of the bar and we’ll have that out for you, sorry about that!
C: *doesn’t say anything, just stares at B making drink*
S: Excuse me ma’am? It would be great if you could stand at the end of the bar for us
C: You know what, I won’t do that. I’m going to stand here and make sure that you’re not going to SPIT in my drink
all of us: *collective confusion*
S: I can assure you, that won’t happen; no one is going to spit in your drink.
C: Uh huh sure, I’m going to make sure
And then she left with her drink. I really don’t understand people. I didn’t think that those type of interactions happened in real life. We were all stunned for the rest of our shifts
