I don't know if there's an official standard, but my store's opinion on mobile orders has always been they can see what's in the drink when they order it. They can scroll down, change the shots, change the syrup, change the milk, and see that it comes with whip cream. So unless it says no whip, mobile orders with alternate milks get whip. If it is an in person order, and I'm not sure, I'll try to ask the customer.

That’s a good point! Thank you!

I usually leave the whip off and ask if they’d like it or not before I hand it out. Saves the hassle of remaking a drink/having to scoop the whip off the top and also then the whip doesn’t get melty.

I have always been told to put whip on mobile orders if it doesn’t state otherwise. If the customer is in the store and I am unsure I would just ask them.

I always ask if they are standing there waiting for a drink but if they aren’t we were told to not put whip on and if we see them pick up the drink then ask but if not they can ask for a cup of whipped cream

It’s standard. Most of the people getting nondairy milks at Starbucks aren’t completely dairy free they usually just have a sensitivity or prefer the taste. People who are strictly no-dairy usually take the time to go though their order to make sure there’s no whip.

They still get whip. If you ring it with a non dairy it still includes the whipped cream.

I believe the standard is weird it's something like soy gets whip and almond and coconut dont but it's been like 6 months since I looked it up bit our store does the same thing no whip unless specified on alternative milks
