Hello! So I had an interview for a barista position on Thursday, and then I got in touch with the hiring manager and asked him about the status. He said he’ll send me an email to confirm a background check and that he’ll call me later on in the day. So I got the background check email, does that mean I’ve been offered a position? But I didn’t get a call from the manager today. Should I call the manager and what should I say?

My background check took about a week then I got the call that I was offered the position. I’d give it a few days.

If they're running a background check they usually mean to hire you barring anything coming up on the check.
