So my SM is getting on everyones last nerve. Sincerely. Most of us understand labor cuts because of covid, but theres a point where it becomes clear there is favoritism. I work closing shift-- almost every day we are understaffed and every day that our SM works morning shift (the only shift she ever works) she delegates tasks from morning to second, while she has far more than enough people. (I have worked AM and can attest to having enough people some days there is nothing happening.)
And on top of that, shes been talking badly about our shifts, behind their backs, to shifts in training. More specifically, she acts like the understaffing in PM is THEIR fault, rather than her poor scheduling. Shes been taking steps to better it all since we got off block schedules, but my god, the talking behind instead of TO her shifts puts a horrible taste in my mouth.
She's so scared of losing one of our shifts in training that when he said he wanted to quit, she melted and essentially gave him a whole week off and switched him to morning shift. Its favoritism, and she doesnt want to give time for green beans to get strong on bar, and instead wants to push all the blame to CURRENT shift leads, who are doing the best they can.
Im still a semi-green bean, but this store is one of the most disorganized places ive ever worked as far as management is concerned. We cant even call a store meeting, and she barely listens to any of us as it is.
