Sorry if this isn’t allowed. I’m considering leaving my current entry-level job at a well-known grocery store due to the toxic environment and trying for a job as a barista, but I wanted to know of people who work there’s opinions on the work and environment overall. TIA

Hi, unfortunately, I've found it's really hit or miss what kind of store you get; you don't know until you start working there. If you're looking at Starbucks, i recommend going in to order and see how the dynamic between the baristas is. Sure, if it's peak it may seem crazy, but are people respectful of one another, does it seem relatively organized, does it seem clean, and friendly? This won't provide the full picture, but it's better than going in blind.

Hope this helps, and best of luck!
