Hi! My mom was exposed to covid so i must quarantine for 2 weeks. I already told my managers but does anyone know of any hazard pay i can get during this time?

Has your mom been *exposed* or has she tested positive? And are you being required to take the quarantine by your manager?
If you’re being required to quarantine per Starbucks policy, you’ll be paid. If you’re voluntarily going into quarantine, you will not.

She is a massage therapist and one of her clients tested positive on the same day that she massaged her. We are getting tested tomorrow. At this point i guess it’s a voluntary quarantine per cdc recommendation

Yeah, I believe at this point you wouldn’t qualify for the COVID pay. If you or your mom were to test positive, that would change.
You should, however, be elligible to apply for unemployment for the time you’re under quarantine. You may not get through the process before you return to work, but they’ll back pay you.

I’m almost positive we have 80 hours of sick time specifically for covid. I saw it earlier while I was checking for my vacation time on the hub!
