How do I go about putting my two weeks? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by nervousextrovert
Hello all! I’m a 278 and have been with bux for a little over a year now. As excited as I was this past year to work there that’s not been the case for about two or three months and I’m actually seeking different job opportunities now. My manager has also been scheduling me like 11 hours and I just feel that that’s not something that I can survive on anymore especially since I was working 40 hours back when COVID started. I had to be quarantined for the last two weeks because I was feeling sick (got tested, negative!) I guess it was just me being run down. So I’ve not been there and really not looking forward to going back. I’ve had some interviews so do I just tell my manager about the two weeks or am I supposed to write a letter?

writing a letter would be professional seeing as though you never know where life will take you and you might need a reference so ending things on good terms would be best.

Sorry i was just messing around with my friend at 1 am with inside jokes.

For real though if you are looking to put in your two weeks I would email your boss if you have a casual enough relationship. If not then I would write a formal letter or try to schedule a conversation with them. I hope this helps, sorry for the confusion

I would agree with Linda then and write a letter to your boss then.
