A partner I worked with 72 hours ago is covid positive today. I’m a shift. Because it’s been over 48 hours since I worked with said partner, I’m expected to work, yet the two partners that closed with me today (we had to do the “covid close the store routine” together when we found out) those two are told to self-isolate for 14 days. Yet I worked with that partner that I sent home due to them feeling ill three days ago, and the two partners tonight worked with that partner yesterday, and I worked with those partners as well for five hours tonight... how does this make sense? Am I being overly sensitive?
The store is looking to still re-open, modified hours outside my availability, so.. the partners I worked with this evening are getting 14 days paid their original schedules to self isolate, and I’m going to lose hours while worrying about when/if I get symptoms or sick. Seems odd to me. Three other stores are also open severely modified hours due to covid-positive partners, with shifts being allocated to those stores to try and still be open during peak. The SMs and DM are only concerned about peak coverage.
Three of five stores in my town affected, yet all are staying open in some way. It seems like corporate greed at its finest, with no concern for those partners involved.
