so i just did my training in august (i was a barista for a local place before starbucks) and my trained just really enforced the beverage routine of milk, shots, syrups. always replace something after you take it somewhere like if the milk is done steaming for drink #1 then when you take the wand out of it you should immediately start steaming milk for drink #2. i got it down pretty quick

•#1 milk

•#1 cue shots

•#1 syrups

•while that’s finishing up, pour milk for drink #2 into the steaming pitcher

•replace #1 milk with #2 milk

•remove cup from the machine and cue #2 shots

•pump syrup for #2

•finish drink and handoff #1

•pour milk for drink #3

•replace #2 milk with #3 milk

•remove #2 cup and cue #3 shots

•pump #3 syrup

•finish and handoff drink #2

and so forth.... oh

i hope something in this comment helps, sorry it’s so long!

Sit at a table with your trainee and mark 6 hot cups as random drinks. Then line them up like you are on the bar and pretend to be sequencing drinks by moving the cups back and forth as you finish the drinks, talking through what steps you are doing. Then have your trainee do the same.

Oh my goodness do not say that to yourself! You are an amazing partner and you were chosen to be a barista trainer for a reason! Do not stress if you have a hard time explaining something, the iPad and barista training tools will help you!!!! You’re going to do great and I’m sure others can answer questions as well to help you
