I’m super nervous about getting hired at my local starbucks and would just like some heads up about things to avoid or maybe tips and tricks
Basic things you wish you would’ve known when you started working ♡

Ask lots of questions, make mistakes and forgive yourself because you're learning, keep in mind that you won't be able to please everyone, and make it a point to keep a good sense of humor cause that's what will get you through a long, hard and busy day. Good luck and have fun!

Making drinks isn’t so hard, it’s simple if you let it be. You won’t gain speed for a while, so don’t beat yourself up. Just remember that there’s always something to clean, restock, or do. Stay busy and keep smiling :)

Making drinks isn't that hard. Most drinks are just variations of different drinks. Also dont be afraid to ask how a drink is made. If I'm being honest, the register is probably the most difficult. I used to work at a local coffee shop and that was the first thing my manager told me, and she was right. Starbucks has a button for almost everything and the hard part for me was just finding what I was looking for. I recommend looking through the register whenever you get a chance so you can remember where is what. Your first month you'll more than likely feel like you're in the way. That's how I felt. I'm a month and a half in and I still feel like I'm in the way sometimes. Just take it one day at a time and don't freak out of you do something wrong. Everyone messes up, no matter how long they've worked there.
