Venti sized rant, Covid style (self.starbucksbaristas)

Recently, one of our morning partners tested positive, meaning anyone who worked with her in the past however-many-days has to self isolate for 2 weeks. This has cut our staff in half, naturally. Our store hours have shifted to accommodate the availability of the remaining partners in the meantime.
Our area had a FB group for local restaurants, and someone asked why our store has had weird hours. I have never in my life seen a clusterfuck of misinformation and hatred like this in my life. You name it, it's on there. Karens calling us communists (I shit you not), TRUMP2020 randomly laced in the feex, and to my surprise, managers of other coffee shops popping in to promote their own stores. So many people commented saying that we are just understaffed and can't hire enough people (false). Others have said they hope we close permanently, ignoring the fact that ACTUAL HUMANS run this storefront.
When a few of my story's partners popped in to clarify that this is TEMPORARY to ensure the safety of THEM AND US, somehow they still can't connect the dots that this has something to do with that little ole PANDEMIC we are in the middle of.
I genuinely don't want to go back and serve these shitty people anymore.

Yeah I work in tarbucks. Our local corporate store is literally across the street. We had them close down for the 2 weeks and the traffic we got because of it completely overwhelmed our store. We aren’t use to that kind of traffic. The line would be well into the target part of the store. For the most part people were nice and understanding. Now the second closest one is closed for two weeks. We are getting an increase and people are getting so rude and obnoxious. I had a woman slide her drink under the partition and snap that she didn’t want the mocha drizzle on her mocha frap and that it ruined the drink. She demanded I make her another. I just don’t understand how people can be so rude when we are handling their food and drinks. We only really are suppose to have 2 people behind our bar so we are pretty much always understaffed. I’m getting tired of the complete douche bags.

I swear the SAME thing happened when, back in August, my hometown's Starbucks shortened its hours!!! Soooo many nasty comments in the town's FB group, all from conservatives who you know are still showing up anyways to get their caramel ribbon crunch frap despite claiming Starbucks is cop-hating liberal propaganda lmfao.
