I have a regular who comes in once or twice a month and orders 40 shots of espresso. She says something about using it as an ingredient in something.. 🙃

Earlier this week someone asked me for a cappuccino with "as many shots as you can put in it". After a beat while I processed that, I said "well it comes with two..." and he just said "perfect!". Like bro you almost got god knows how many shots with a little dollop of foam on top.

I used to work at a reserve bar and a lady came in and ordered a venti decaf americano, reserve, with TWENTY TWO SHOTS. It took almost 20 minutes to make it 🙃

There's a partner from another store who orders 10 blonde ristretto shots in a venti cup.

I had a college student come in who wanted a JUG filled with espresso. He told me that he didn’t care how long it took, or how much it cost.

For reference- this was not at Starbucks, this was in my pre green apron days, maybe 2014ish? It was a small indie shop with a niche focus in a main shopping district in a major city.

I don’t remember what it cost, but I filled that jug with so many shots of espresso. About 45 shots.

He took it. Thanked me. I never saw him again.

It’s the most illegal feeling, actually legal thing I’ve ever done in my life.

My store has a new regular: Venti Iced Coffee, No Classic, 10 Shots

I have a regular that comes every morning and gets two venti lattes with 14 shots and another regular that gets 20 shots of espresso with 20 pumps of white mocha

I'd like to order a venti shots with a side of drink please 😂

Regular at my store gets a tall 12 shot americano. It’s not really an americano technically because there’s literally no room for any water after all the espresso has poured into the cup. We wonder about her sometimes but we all love her lmao

one of my coworkers put a grande nitro in a trenta cup with 10 blonde shots and extra ice 🤢

I looked it up once , I think 12 is like as many you can have and NOT die, like on average

a trenta no water cold brew with 12 shots on the side, its only a 10¢ difference in making it two separate drink orders, so we let it slide

14, This lady would get like 14 with 10 pumps of white mocha. She said that she'd refrigerate it and mix it with milk to have coffee for a few days.

At my old store we used to have a regular who would call ahead 3-5 days per week & order 18-20 shots & a cup of ice. He drank it. This was not for a baking recipe but for a beverage. I always sincerely felt like we weren't "allowed" to do that. I find it to be so -- just no.

At my store every couple weeks this lady comes in and orders 21 espresso shots for her 150 star reward. She has done frequently this since I’ve been at my current store... 🙄

I’ve had someone order just twelve shots and 14 sugars... worst part was when he took a sip and asked for 2 more sugars. I worry for people like him...

We had a regular who would save their free drink to get a 20 shot americano no water, which would basically just fill up the cup.

Someone asked him about it once and he said he would use a bit to make coffee at home. Truly terrifying.

I had a man come in and ask me to fill a venti cup up with shots all the way except 1/4 inch of room for 2%it was like 30 dollars or something crazy like that he said it's his cheat day I was so confused and still am

I'm not allowed to give someone more than 8 espresso shots. ALTHOUGH we have an upcharge option on our mastrena so I dont know how that works with the 8 shots limit

One guy comes into my store everyday and orders 2 venti 10 shots with 1 raw each like are you chugging 20 shots everyday god damn??

An older man came in on his birthday and ordered a 20 shot espresso. Felt uncomfortable making it, felt exceptionally more uncomfortable watching him drink it.

Genuine question: how are you supposed to make these? I feel like I always have so many shots that I can’t put it all in one cup, and my manager says not to give it in more than one cup

I remember one customer that was going on a road trip so he wanted all the caffeine. So he got 28 shots of espresso, this was before blonde and we had just went down to one espresso machine.....that was a nightmare and they refused any syrups or milk to help keep it from dying.

Does anyone know... are we allowed to make trenta cold brews? And also, is there an actual legal limit to the number of shots you can give someone??

I mean you should be arrested for letting the shots stack and burn like that. yeah 12 is absurd but quality matters still.
