Call your DM and say EXACTLY what she said, that it made you uncomfortable, and how else you feel.

Make sure to also say you feel like that was a unprofessional answer even if it is the truth.

I thought about doing that but when I first got hired she told me not to bother calling them because its gonna come back to her anyways so just to tell her and let her deal with it 🙄 so I just thought it would be pointless to call and only get me into a deeper hole with her

She sounds like the type to retaliate and end up getting fired lol.

You should definitely call your dm and ask to be kept anonymous. My first manager did the exact same thing but with this being my first job I didn’t know how to deal with it so I never did 😅 but it’s not okay for your sm to be saying that

She said it in front if like 3 other partners too I was so embarrassed. Now I have to figure out how to get the DM's number without asking anyone at the store -_-

Normally most stores will have the dm business card somewhere near the schedules or behind one of the schedules and it’ll have their number on it

Starbucks has a strict no retaliation policy or so I am told. I would bypass your dm completely and call starbucks ethics and compliance line. If you google those terms, you will find the number

Definitely reach out to your DM for support, I’m really sorry your having this experience. Starbucks has a strict policy in scheduling one of which you cannot reduce someone’s hours because they are slacking in ability or performance. If that is the case it’s a performance issue which should be documented and support offered to correct. Also Starbucks has a very strict no retaliation policy sooo if you reach out and your manager begins treating you indifferent document all conversations and reach out again for support with either the DM or your area human resource manager. I get so frustrated when I hear things like this and it seems as though your manager set the tone for you to come to her in the beginning because she knows some of what she is doing is not correct.

I just went in today to try to look for the dm number and it was no where to be found. I was scared to ask for it because I didn't want them to retaliate and possible take away even more hours or even fire me.
