I tried doing that for three weeks just easy but my manager INSISTED I go through Sedgwick and take an LOA which just complicated everything.
Especially since Sedgwick isn’t approving personal LOAs rn because of COVID.
But she did end up giving me the time off but my store is Also very well staffed so it’s just going to depend on if your manager can still have full coverage without you
I will also add that when I came back I was only getting scheduled 10 hours and had to pick up other people’s shifts because my manager had hired other baristas

Oof I didn't know they weren't approving personal time off, that's kinda stupid tbh. I don't think my store would have full coverage without me, I'm the most flexible and scheduled barista there and our staff is pretty small. Will just check in with my manager and see what she says. I'm hoping if I give her enough time in advance she can find coverage, but we'll have to see. We definitely can't justify hiring another barista though, I know that for sure.

I've gone on a couple two week long vacations this year and my manager hasn't said anything.

Once you get to the three week mark is when you’re required to take a personal LOA. Two weeks is a regular vacation.
