Hey! I'm not sure what time your store opens. If it opens around 6am or so, chances are you'll run out of red cup before you start your shift. Either way, expect a busier day. The only tip I would give you is be nice but still strict about social distancing.

yeah our store opens at 6 and closes at 10:30pm. if we really do run out of cups before 8:30am that would be insane omg

Every year on the launch of holiday products in the US (sometime in early November, this year November 6), Starbucks releases a limited-edition reusable plastic cup. It has a different holiday-related design every year, but it’s usually mostly red. These cups are a BIG deal and people will frequently line up outside stores before opening to buy them. If you work in the early morning, you have to deal with that crowd. If you work later in the day, you have to deal with the crowd of people who are mad that you sold out in the early morning. It’s a weird day.

To OP: as an easily stressed person who worked the last 2 red cup days, all I can say is remind yourself that it’s just a few hours and that any angry customers won’t matter after that. Just get ready to put on your best retail face and be a broken record for a little while telling everyone you’re sold out of cups. Take it one customer at a time and remember to drink water!
