Not a response to a situation like that. However, I have experienced:
Being written up for coming in late the day my aunt died.
Being written up for not knowing I worked that day because the SM changed the schedule way after she should have over and over WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE, and the last information I had was that I didnt work that day. This one is less ridiculous because I guess I could have checked again (this was after returning from covid leave) but I maintain that its still ridiculous.
Being given a final write up when the other write ups were for a completely seperate thing. (Time issues vs being "approachable") and not being allowed any kind of conversation before hand to correct the behavior before getting that final write up.
Trying to have a conversation with a problem shift about the very agressive way they were talking to me + unreasonable expectations placed on me, to which they proceeded to send me home and call the manager. They knew that this could definitely get me fired and I maintain the stance that this actual was an attempt to get me fired.
When I called the manager to attempt to tell my side of what happened (to which ... you guessed it - was a completely different story from the shifts perspective) and told "you need to have a conversation with them first before you come to me" like,,, I literally tried to, and they sent me home?? "Well they asked you if you wanted to be there and you said no" "ummmmmmmmm no. In fact, they said they felt like I didnt want to be there and I responded that I really did want to be there, I was just having issues with how they were treating me" .... "im just hearing that you arent really hearing each other"
👀👀👀 I'm looking at other jobs.
