New partner Question (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by fvckjvckie
I’m a new-ish partner. Actually a returning partner work for Starbucks years ago when I was in high school. Now that I’m older I’d like to do more with the 401k & stock option stuff. So here are my questions
1. How do I sign up to start contributing to a/my 401k.
2. Do I have to be a partner for a year before I can have any involvement/get stock.
Much love to my manager. But because I worked for Starbucks previously they just assumed I still know any and all things Starbucks. I tried to speak up for help but I was told to reference the partner hub. But aren’t even sure how to get to that because I didn’t use it before. I was a 17yo working at Starbucks. I was just happy to have a job.

You'll go to $1 and create your account using your partner numbers! I would do a little bit of research on the 401k, I've been hearing recently that a ROTH account may actually be more beneficial in the long run, which is interesting to me. :)

Also, to be eligible for any benefits, including stock, etc., you must be with Starbucks for 90 days. The one year mark is when you start to accrue vacation time!

Hope this helps, and welcome back!!
