Talked to my SM about the 10% raise rumors (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Animuthrowawayplz
My SM was saying he had good news to share with us on Monday and I asked if it was about the rumors I hear (well read here). He asked for clarification and was surprised I knew about it considering he just fou d out yesterday.

What I know from him is it is part of a five year plan Starbucks is implementing to get our wages higher and he'll be getting more information to share this Monday! I'm planning on updating when he tells us the information unless I see someone else post it first!

Anybody else feel like they are trying to sweeten the pot right before Red Cup Day. lol

I'm always willing to work Christmas and Thanksgiving, but praise whatever diety is up there that I don't have to work red cup day for the third or fourth year in a row.

It’s confidential. We aren’t supposed to know until Monday.

Wait is this supposed to happen everywhere

I hope so 😩

I second this. If it's only for corporate stores, then you'll be intentionally neglecting your other stores. Hopefully this goes out to ALL Starbucks employees.

Starbucks has little control over franchise stores. They essentially contract/sell the ingredients and equipment to chains as another way of revenue. When the raise does occur, it will almost undoubtedly be for corporate employees. More information should come out Monday as it was supposed to be confidential.

To be fair don’t most franchise Starbucks pay above minimum anyways?
AdamAce3 3 points 2y ago
It’s up to the company they work for. If you work at a Starbucks inside let’s say a target, you are a target employee (not a Starbucks employee).

Weekly update about the raise. I made a separate post about it, but posting here too for max visibility.
