GM was rang me, all Starbucks employees should receive their 10% raise as of December 14th, 2020. The result will show on the first check of the new year. We did it y'all. We didn't get our hazard pay back, but we got one of the biggest raises in company history - and it's permanent.

Dec 14 is 2 weeks before minimum wage is raised in most states. You’ll have a “raise” for 2 week. I wish more people understood math and economics.

It’s another PR campaign.

lmfao y'all are getting state-wide min wage increases? Can I have some of that?

Less than half the states are going to see a raise in min wage in 2021, based on existing legislation and many, if not the majority, are less than a dollar. In fact, quickly scanning the list, it seems as if many of the states raising minimum wage are doing so by just pennies.

I wasn't aware states were upping minimum wage, my state is not one of them lol.

I’m in Texas an our minimum wage is never going to go up, and our starting pay is two dollars above minimum, so I’m happy at least that we’re getting a raise. It should be more though. If this company can afford to give everyone a raise like this, they can afford to keep us on hazard pay as well.

Same lol

Like, sure for the left-leaning states that care even slightly about min-wage employees enough to raise the min wage a tiny bit maybe this will be negligible, but I'm also in Texas and excited bc Gov Abbott is a lil bitch who will never do anything good in his life

I just keep hoping Texas flips before I get out of here

Yeah most people done realize how minimum wage increases affect the raise. Like sure, you’re getting a raise but not really. I went 3 years getting the standard raises while all the new hires got .50-1 raises because minimum wage was increasing that much. After 9 years I was making .13¢ more then a brand new hire. These raises may help newer hires but they are a slap in the face to tenured people.

I moved from a city with a mandatory $15 hourly base pay to a state where we are only raising the minimum wage by $0.15! It has taken 2 years and a promotion to claw my way back to a livable wage. I will not look this gift horse in the mouth.
