Making Whip (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by aarushsaini
So I’ve been working at Starbucks for about a month and a half. I see tiktoks and videos of the whipped cream being very structured?? Like whenever I make whip, it always comes out more liquid and doesnt really take shape.. so does anyone have any tips to make good whip? Thank you!

It helps me to hold the container upside down whenever you charge it and to put the whips immediately into the fridge so it doesn’t go out of temp. I hope this helps!!!!

I shake it a lot upright, and then hold it upside down and shake it a lot. And then I place it on it’s side (whip charger still in it) and leave while I shake the the rest of the whips. When im done shaking them and they are all laying on their sides, I’ll date them and then take the whip chargers off and put them in the refrigerator☺️

The standard for making whips is 8 pumps of vanilla and heavy cream to the max line of a steaming pitcher. Then, you hold it upside down and charge it. Shake it vigorously, then let it lay on its side for ten minutes. After that, shake it again and put it into the fridge after dating it.

10 minutes.. THATS NOT STANDARD, YOU NEVER LEAVE MILK PRODUCT OUT THAT LONG. it only gets put on its side to put a date dot on tje bottom.

First off why are you yelling, and the whip cannisters at our store are kept refrigerated as well as heavy cream, so it's fine. The whip cannisters are literally designed to retain temperature.

Remover the charger before putting it in the fridge!!!

So the whip routine recently changed and basically no one noticed. If you look it up it no longer needs to rest on its side. 8 pumps vanilla, heavy cream to the max line. Charge it, shake 8 times, set it upright on the counter. Date it, shake it upside down 8 times, remove the charger and test the whip. If its still liquidy I just shake it up a little more at that point.

Also, even if you make them right. Let a little off first to make sure it is ready to go before using on a drink. Also, shake before using when you grab a new one out of the fridge.
