SM has given me a unique opportunity (self.starbucksbaristas)

So, I've been crocheting for many years (really not sure how many lol) asks I just recently began sharing my crochet projects with my fellow baristas at my store. I make mostly amigurumi style things, cute little stuff. Example: I made a cute little candy corn for decoration in October, as well as many pumpkins (more than I'm ever want to make again lol. There's a picture of the candy corn on my profile). So my SM recently asked me if I planned on making anything for other holidays, like if I had thought of anything for Christmas. He suggested commissioning me to make them, and seeing if it was in the budget to do so.
Any thoughts? Cuz I'm not 100% sure I'd want my SM to pay me for something I was really only doing to make being at work during covid so damn depressing... Cuz let's be honest, working at Starbucks during covid is both depressing and (at least in my case) stress inducing. Which is why I've poured myself into my crochet on my days off. So what do you think? Should I consider letting my SM commission me for decorations, or is there a different way we can go about it? Idk

TLDR: My SM wants me to crochet holiday decorations for the store. Yay, or Nay?

If you are being paid fairly for your work, and separately from your employee pay, you’re good financially.
If you want to make them as well, great! If you don’t want to attach the stress of income to an activity that you use to relax with away from work, that is also great. Just let the SM know that you need your crochet to stay recreational for your mental health

As a knitter, this. I just tend to get overwhelmed with deadlines and then panic like why did I agree to, etc... but, if you were going to do it anyway, why not get paid?? Id pass, personally, bcs I have to get my knit on for other holiday projects!
