Does anyone have any advise on how to go about transferring from one store to another?

Both stores are in the same district, and I have a good relationship with both managers, I’m also currently a key holder at my current store.

If anyone has experienced a transfer, especially within a district, I’d love to hear about your experience. I haven’t told my manager yet because I’m scared she will get mad at me

What is the reason behind you transferring? That will really guide how you handle it with your manager.

My current store has become a not great environment for me and the other store is the one which I trained at, and I know it’s a great environment

Got it. Unfortunately, that’s not really considered a valid reason by Starbucks to request a transfer, mostly because there’s no way to guarantee what the other store will be like, or will eventually become. If you’re not happy with the environment at your store, especially since you’re a keyholder, you’re most likely going to be told that part of your responsibility is to help fix the issues you’re seeing at the store.

I had the same situation and my reasoning for transferring was "hostile environment". It may be difficult just because you are a key holder however. If it deals with toxic co-workers and such and you've voiced your reasons to your SM and nothing has been done let that be noted if you DM asks you about why you want to transfer.
