I worked red cup launch day and it was hell all day long. I was never more thankful to be POS/CS for the morning haha. I worked an extra hour of my seven hour shift with only a 10 and a 30. Anyways, i had a shorter shift today but i was so done the whole day. It was fine, but i also was working with super new green beans so everything went a bit slower. I'm only a month in so i understand what it's like to be new, just hard when you're just barely learning things and you're the only support lol. Anyways I was working bar this afternoon and just making drinks, and we ran out of eggnog so my SSV who was on register/ovens made some more for us while we worked bar. I had a lady come over and ask me where her cake pops were, and i said, maam i only make drinks right now and I'm not in charge of food. We are really busy as you can see, so im sure they will be out shortly. Well about a minute later she comes BACK to me while im obviously making drinks, and demands her cake pops be made right that second, and i was like hey, sorry we have been really busy and haven't gotten to it yet! Maybe just ask up front and see if theyre ready! And to that she responds, super sarcastic, thanks, now my drink is going to be WATERY by the time i get home! I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. Laugh because that was such a minor thing to be so angry about and nobody was stopping her from enjoying her drink while she waited for her food, and cry because i just wanted to go home and not make another fucking sweet cream cold foam drink. 🤮😂
Fellow baristas, what's the stupidest thing a customer has chosen to complain about?
