Can Starbucks PLEASE have us enforce some kind of limit to how many cups a single customer can get?(self.starbucksbaristas)

Like, I’m not gonna get most of them anyways cause I usually don’t like them, but COME ON. I’m thinking for the multitudes of other people trying to get these cups, then some dickhead comes in and orders half the stock just to sell it online. Starbucks really needs to allow some kind of “1 type of cup per customer” limit to prevent scalpers. Just had a lady get up to 200 dollars worth of the merch and I’m 100% sure they aren’t for her. I get them being Christmas presents for other people and such, but there’s a point where it’s obvious they just wanna sell it for 20 bucks more on EBay.

We didn’t realize they were available to mobile order until a lady ordered 3 that we were out of. And there’s no way to void mobiles or refund if there’s not a barcode to scan, so I just had to give her the corporate number and hope they fix it. Then I marked every cup as not available because I guarantee most people wouldn’t be as understanding about it as she was.

You can refund without a barcode. I had to do this yesterday. They moved the button, but if you go into refund mode, click on the food button, at the bottom there is a item search button. Click that and type the name of the cup and then you can refund it onto a store credit card or back on their card.

I agree! But I also think Starbucks should provide more stock of the products. They know this retail stuff is popular and is going to sell, so why only give us 2 of each cup??

Oh yeah. when I worked at Starbucks. I consistently had a customer who would purchase 20 of the you are here mugs at a time. it was crazy.

someone came in today and bought ALL of our color changing hot cups (the individual ones, not the package ones). we had 20 of them, but i think she wanted more??? insane.

Tarbucks barista here, we got messages from corporate that we would be limiting the holiday cups for the first week of the launch and I had never been so happy😭 I always felt super bad because we would get sent so little and we would sell out within the first 30 mins and guests that came in later would be upset they didn't get a chance!!

i didn’t know this was a thing! some lady bought $600 (maybe $400? i cant remember it was last week) of the cups and claimed she uses them as christmas gifts.
