I’ve straight up seen people putting their hands in their mouths while ordering, yeah. I read lips a lot to get by and it’s so frustrating. Or! My favorite! Holding their arm up over their face so their words are muffled. And I don’t have a nice way to say “please get your actual arm from between your words and the microphone”, so just saying “sorry I’m having some trouble hearing you 🙂🙂🙂 did you say light ice??? And what else???” a million times until I die.

Or when they drink their drink before leaving (we're operating as grab-and-go so no one can have a seat and drink). You do realize you just took your mask off, right? One time I told a woman not to do that. She was like, "I can't drink my drink?!" "No, I'm sorry." It's really incredible how thoughtless and unmindful people are as they go about their business. Lots of people come inside without a mask on 'cause they just plain didn't think about it. Also, if at this point in time they're unaware of why these mask policies are in place (because when you're inside of a building, your airborne particles and germs will spew into the air if you don't have a mask on and will recirculate continuously throughout the building), there's no excuse for that.

asked a customer to pull his mask up over his nose the other day, he looked at me and pulled it further down. true fucking story. i was like sir, i’m not giving you this coffee until you pull your mask up. he finally did, then tried to go sit in the closed seating area and my coworker told him it was closed so he said “fuck you guys” and as he was leaving my coworker said “thank you sir have a good day.”

He's a fucking garbage person, and I'm sorry he treated y'all like that. There's no way I'd react in such a humble way. I had a shift supervisor who told the same thing to a customer--that his mask needed to cover his nose as well as his mouth--and he told her to go fuck herself and flipped her off. She also told him to have a nice day.

That defeats the purpose. They can enjoy having COVID for their fucking stupidity, and it really pisses me off that they're risking the lives of the people who work at Target, who may sometimes take their masks off to drink water or eat lunch or whatever. The lack of care for other people's safety is truly stunning.

I had a man roll his eyes and after struggling to get his mask on correctly complained about how he’s supposed to drink his coffee. I was like sir, you can’t take it off to have your coffee but we just need you to wear it while you’re waiting. He got all huffy and I went back to what I was doing on CS. He was in the cafe for an hour or so and went to leave while I was wiping down the door handles and apologized to me for his attitude. I felt like a proud mother lol

In their defense, maybe they're rolling their eyes because they're judging themselves for mindlessly pulling their mask off or because they're annoyed they have to wear a mask because of a pandemic. But they're stupid and need to stop being such a baby and be glad they're fucking alive.
