Does your askme button let you type ryan? (self.starbucksbaristas)

We've started putting customers names on cups using the askme button ( drive thru) , but for some reason, some names are blocked and it will just revert to askme on the cup for example, ryan, butch, and gay( we have a customer with this name) all of these revert and it makes me think it's some sort of profanity filter that's just not coded well, anyone have any similar experiences?

Well yeah for the front registers it does, at the drive through we have to do it manually

Yeah the Ask Me line does have a filter that blocks profanity as well as other potentially sensitive words. The most common names it blocks are Christina and Christian.... It also used to block “butter” because of butt but I think that’s been fixed. I have a couple of regulars named Ryan and Bryan but I still have no idea why they get blocked.

Our POS system has a name portion that prompts and won't let you bypass unless you enter something or clear and exit it manually. ASK ME portion we will put in the name when mobile pickup thru DT since it is just a generic DTMOBILE PICKUP line button for noting then they are coming thru in the car orders
