215**** partner here. I dedicated 5 YEARS to this company. I could have made much better money through high school and college but I chose Starbucks. The amount of time people told me to quit is unreal.
So July comes rolling in and I moved across my state from a very populated area to basically the middle of nowhere. There was nowhere to transfer in the area within 40 min. I had to leave the company. Which during covid and everything going on, I was okay with it. I spent 5 years there.
I found a full time job in my career and I was happy but a Starbucks is opening right down the street from me so I was like hey, I might as well make some extra money and work part time.
I go to the interview, mind you, I left the company barely a month ago at this time. The interview was fine until they said I would have to work at a different Starbucks for 4 months until the store opens. I asked if I could start when the store opens because I have a full time job and I don’t have enough time in my day to commute 40 min for a part time job. They said I needed training. I said I left the company a month ago. They said I needed covid training. I said I worked during the literal peak of covid?? 40 hours a week during quarantine??
I was more respectful in the interview but this is the shortened version.
I didn’t get the job. They said 90% of the store is going to be new hires. I guess this might be a good thing anyway, I’m just upset with the amount of time I spent working here and I’m apparently not worth hiring again.
Thanks to anyone who spent their time reading this, I’m just a bit bitter.
