Well it happened. I got a letter in the mail saying that the LOA team found me inactive and therefore Starbucks was letting me go. My boss forced me on a LOA due to becoming disabled, but refused to finish the paperwork on her side for it. Refused to schedule me since June and said it’s my fault. I’ll miss my store but they’ve allowed 6 people to work their while Covid positive. Being a barista was my happy place, but Starbucks was a nightmare.

How did they get away with letting covid positive partners in the store, let alone on the floor?

My old manager was manic and our DM didn’t ever visit our store because he hated her, so she gets away with a lot of shit.

Oh this is why I kinda want to pursue a manager role due to these horror stores I keep hearing. It sad when people get poor management but then again you can have great management and have a crew that takes advantage of them
