one time my coworker got mad at me because I ordered a caramel Frappuccino and she didn't want to make it. it was my day off and it wasn't like I could go around the counter to do it myself. she had been kinda bitchy before but this time I wasn't gonna take it. I hate confrontation with coworkers but I realized that im not going to let someone walk over me because then its a habit and no matter what the pay is im not at work to be made to feel like shit when we're supposed to be a team. Anyway, long story short I told her "do your job" with attitude and all. point of the story is to speak up for yourself because after that she actually started to show me respect. if shifts don't listen to you then go higher up and never "volunteer" to do anything else because obviously people in your store don't give a fuck.
next time someone ignores you speak louder, tap them on the shoulder, or just get close to them if you don't want to make a scene but don't just let people ignore you or laugh in your face.

THANK YOU. I’m so bad at sticking up for myself. My mom is abusive and I still live with her. I thought that these people would be able to help me grow but they really just keep pushing me further and further to the edge so I really need to start doing this whole standing up for myself thing. Thank you:,)

Jesus Christ you have such shitty co workers!! Please look into transferring to another store. I don’t see how you’re the issue here at all. They are completely unwilling to accommodate you or listen to you. We have a partner that literally has dementia and we help her out and it’s never an issue. You are a fully capable and experienced partner, there is no excuse for you to be treated this way.
