Physically exhausted (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Simplyroro
Any other shifts as completely worn down and physically exhausted as I am? Our store is doing record numbers even in a pandemic, new store manager is now focused on drive times and those damned clean safe and ready cards, they have removed all social distancing circles, patio has reopened, shes hired 8 new partners, and to top it off customers are getting more and more outrageous.

Sorry just had to vent.

Former barista, current customer service worker. I’m sorry this is your reality. It would be a real shame if someone made an anonymous tip to your state health department and OSHA department......

It would really be a shame....

I totally agree with you, I am going to have a meeting with my manager soon about stepping down but I don’t know how to do it

I know the SSVs are burnt out at our store. We have the same problem, record numbers in the district. Drive times are enforced. They opened the patio at our store which is bad enough, but they definitely kept the circles.... I would be more concerned with cleanliness using antibacterial spray on the tables and counters... I haven’t used a CSR card since I’ve worked at Starbucks in over a year, but I only work opens.... so I don’t know what’s on them now, but if they haven’t been updated for the pandemic, then that’s ridiculous and you shouldn’t have to be doing all that.

The high touch sanitization is now in the CS cycle. But in go mode we dont have a planted CS SO THERE DIES THAT LEVEL OF PROTECTION. Our lobby seats 104 and is gigantic and consists of 2 completely separate sides. Its a disaster waiting to happen.

I feel this, I was halfway through supervisor training when my store shut down and they had me finish my training and moved me to an understaffed store. I’m so tired

My store is increasing its sales every week! Lobby social distancing restrictions are barely anything. Nobody walks around the cafe with a mask on. It fucking ridiculous! On top of that SSV’s only get payed $2 more an hour compared to baristas!! I have so much more responsibility yet I don’t get compensated for it. I wish Starbucks actually cared

Not a shift but every day I wonder if I have Covid or if my job is just slowly killing me.
