Green bean here with questions

this is *certainly* a hypothetical Bc my SM is super into standards and would have a problem if I actually talked about what was going on in our store on Reddit and I can’t afford to get fired

So, let’s say one of our partners tested positive for covid. Let’s say she worked one day til 3pm, and called out sick for the next morning at 4:30am. Should we be closed? Should all our partners be made aware? Is there something we should be doing? It’s kinda shitty that my store is definitely hypothetically open as normal, especially since we are in a covid hotspot city

if she tested positive while working with everyone, those who worked with her def should be paid quarantine and the store needs to be shut down for deep clean and those not in contact with her continue to work with adjusted store hours. in my opinion, the whole store should be shut down for two weeks but that’s not how starbucks rolls lol

apparently because she wasn’t showing symptoms the last shift she worked, we don’t have have to quarantine

idk what to do. I live with a highly immune compromised person

i definitely feel that, i called partner services and they didn’t give me any answers. it’s really frustrating. starbucks is a mess when it comes to handling covid related situations. i’d definitely get tested soon and do what you can to keep yourself safe. hope everything works out.
