A customer got mad when she had to wait a little longer for a drink.

She grabs the drink and says “some of us have jobs to go to!” And then turns around and walks right into the door.

Karma’s a bitch.

Like we aren’t at a job ourself?
murphmanfa 98 points 2y ago
That implies that we are people, and that's just heresy.

As if you're not literally at your job...

I couldn’t help but laugh. Karma got her real quick.

We banned someone today because I “ToOk ToO LoNg To MaKe HeR dRiNk” and she was “there” before everyone else. Sorry you don’t mobile order. Sorry you asked for a quad, over ice, in a trenta cup with heavy cr... lt heavy cream, but it was supposed to be to filled to the top. It was the first customer melt down I’ve seen because me. First she said she was there first, that I’m taking too long and she’s got stuff to do, that I made it looked wrong, what’s wrong with me, that we know here and how she likes it (literally only one person said they’ve seen her before and I haven’t nor made that drink before), customers jumped in and or made fun too, she stormed out, then stormed in.
I’m very fortunate to have a down SM bc she hopped right up, “you can not talk to us like that, we have mobile orders and can only make so many espresso drinks at a time...” lady stormed out and my manager said “mannnnn I needed this. I was going to tell her she can’t come back and that there’s two Starbucks in either direct. I lost 16 pounds for this!”

But hey, I got someone banned I guess?

I had a Karen complain today because her pour over was taking too long. I so badly wanted to say "well bitch, probably should have ordered the americano I suggested and believed me when I said it'd take a few minutes"
USplendid 6 points 2y ago
We flat out warn customers that pour overs will take a minimum of 10 mins to make before they order them. We’ve had one too many customers get upset about the wait times on those.

Same when someone orders an iced brewed tea latte.

I don‘t fucking understand this. Does it look like we are slacking off while we literally have three people on bar? It isn’t our faults, it’s all of your collective faults for deciding you needed Starbucks and committing to that decision even when you saw how busy it was

On my shift yesterday we were slammed, the only store in our district that hasn't been shut down due to Mrs.rona. I was the only person on bar trying frantically to keep up. Our cafe was packed but I let the customer know I was working on his drink, he flagged me down 30s later and I asked him if he needed something else and he just said "yeah my f***ing drink" like SIR it's in the blender. When I handed it to him I very sweetly thanked him for his patience. No need to shout over a caramel frap drama queen, he waited less than 5 minutes...

I love that. We aren't responsible for managing your time. I've had so many people say they are on a 10 min break and they still decide to order when the see we are slammed in both drive and lobby. Like sorry sis. 🤷‍♀️

We had a huge rush of mobile orders the other day. So I pick up the long list of tickets to see how far we had gotten and a lady standing watching asked if we could make her drink next because she had somewhere to be. Lol no. Wait your turn like everyone else. She left without her drink. Apparently she asked my other barista the same thing and got turned down too.

Also had a customer come in a few months ago and rage at a barista because "he was there first," she cried, another customer yelled at him for being an ass, and I let my barista leave early.
