You should have a set of cards in your store that says what to do and when to do it. I forget what they are called but that’s what they try to get us to use

As a SSV, your shifts and store manager need to map out a plan, especially as we get into the busy season. The clean safe ready cards are more of a standard of what should be checked from an operational standpoint. Transitions really need to be planned out and clearly communicated between shifts so they can appropriately explain role clarity to each barista. The needs of each day part transition really depends on the store as well.
We've been having this issue at my store recently as well. We were able to rectify issues in the past, but we have a pretty weak morning SSV who kinda does the CS cycle during peak and then flails once peak ends and the mid comes in.
Long story short, communication is key. Learning to take constructive criticism without defensiveness is key. Being open to listening to other ideas, whether from a SSV or barista is key. I hate the "us vs them" mentality...blahhhhh talk to SSVs/baristas and ask what would be helpful for transitions.
Just my experience!
