...please don’t yell at me |Floor mats| (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Alice_Arisuin
Okay SERIOUSLY don’t yell a me for this because i would never do it...with a manager around.
I once upon a time read a post that said that they put their floor mats in the dishwasher. I just want to know- has anybody ever tried this, or does anyone have anything to say about it.

I got a clean play commin up ;)

I'd like to know who's floor mats are small enough or whose dishwasher is big enough to fit them inside!

But even washing them in the 3 compartment sink is a health code issue.

You can stand them upright in your mop bucket sink OR what I did is pile them up on front of that sink. Fill the mop bucket. Use the weird white & black stubby tool with the long handle to scrub. Flip the mat over. Scrub the other side. Repeat with all until the mats are in a pile upside down. Get a clean mop bucket. Wipe off each mat with the mop before you carry out back to its place. You will have to mop the area afterwards too because they'll be a mess under each place you piled the mats.

If my store had a back entrance I have the perfect method to clean them. (Last job as it was a restaurant) You would need a broom, soap, and a power hose. And just prop it up on a trash can to dry.

My store recently got a water hose just to do our mats. We clean them on our side walk then hang them on the little fence we have behind our store.

My shift lead just takes them out front of the store and hoses them off on the sidewalk. Tbh it only takes him like five to ten minutes for two giant mats and they look great. He brings them back in and drapes them over the chairs to dry. I know not every bux has that option cause they’re in a mall or a grocery store or their front sidewalk is too small lol but just an FYI.
