I quit this month. (self.starbucksbaristas)

I worked at the busiest, highest profit location in my city. My SM had already been flat out mean and rude to me, refusing to give me the hours I was told I'd get when I was hired on, making it impossible for me to pay my rent this month. Earlier this month I texted her telling her I'd had close contact with someone with COVID and I needed to get tested.
She asked me if I had any symptoms and then told me I had to come in the next day when I said no.

I flat out refused, she wouldn't let me tell her it was dangerous and take the time to get tested, so I didnt show up for my shift. I didnt want to be the person who potentially exposed the store and the hundreds of people who come in on a daily basis.
She called me the next day and told me that she wanted me to come in for my next shift.
I *politely* told her to go fuck herself, and told her she was the reason she lost so many partners she hired on.
After over a month of her berating me at every chance she got (my favorite was her telling me to just stand somewhere and stay out of the way while I was trying to help during a rush, I hadn't made any mistakes, another green bean had messed something up but the SM gave her a pass and let her keep working), I was over it.
She's had an abnormally high turnover rate and I'm really hoping that something happens but I'm so bummed that I cant go back to working at starbucks. It was such a great environment and the people I worked with made me go home happier than I came in every single day. I'm heartbroken that this opportunity was taken away from me by a boss that didn't care about the health and safety of her partners.

EDIT: I somehow forgot to mention that she forced a teenager with COVID to work at the store for a week before she was allowed to stay home and recover.

She also called another barista fat, causing her to walk out about a week after she got out of training.

Call partner resources or call the dm.

She's buddy buddy with the DM. She covered for him for three weeks at one point, she's been reported. But I will try partner resources!!!!

Sometimes you should go hire, maybe even the regional manager. For me my regional manager is an amazing person, he really listens and does care bc he was a barrista too and worked his way up. Start with partner resources. I too think about quiting everyday

Oh wait no it was definitely the regional manager that I met that she's best friends with. I hope things get better with you.
