thanksgiving (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by canidieyet_
so i wasn’t originally supposed to work on thanksgiving but my SM asked me if i could and i felt really bad because i knew we were going to be understaffed that day so i agreed to work 8:30-1:30 which i don’t mind since we don’t eat until 2:30-3 anyways. i’m just wondering if it’s super busy or if it’s generally calm? idk it could also purely depend on the location but i’m just curious since my last job closed on major holidays!!

It will more than likely be busy, during the holidays in the middle of a pandemic people are gonna want their Bux. But at least stores are closing early

are all stores closing early?? because we have people scheduled until 8,9,10 pm at my store

People are scheduled to work the night of thanksgiving??? that’s upsetting... when I worked Tarbucks they closed up for the day and then had the pre-Black Friday crew come in before they opened for customers😩
Stores in my district of SoCal are closing at 3PM next Thursday.

yeah my shift told me that we close at 4 on thanksgiving but we have people there until 10?? unless it’s for black friday. i work at a corporate store so it might be different for holidays than at a tarbucks

Yeah that’s what I was thinking, they might be setting up for the day after. With Black Friday not actually being a thing there will be more people , I’m at a corporate store too but worked Tarbucks a year prior, they did everything different 🤔

Last time I worked Thanksgiving it was busy. So busy that when we closed we had to have someone at the door denying entry to customers while we finished taking care of the huge line that made it in just before closing😭. And by we I mean me and one other person. Never again...
