i was in DT today because i needed a break from bar after peak and this woman comes through the drive thru, no mask, and says with a SCOWL “um gross you should be wearing gloves” and i swear if my SM wasn’t behind me taking an order i would have said “yeah well you should be wearing a mask but you’re not”

Sadly it's "rude" to ask them to wear a mask, turn off wipers in the rain, or have payment ready for the window 🙄

Gloves are just a second skin, you still have to disinfect. People are stupid if they think gloves are a talisman that protects from disease.

We can't put them at the speaker, only on the door to the inside and they took down our mask sign for customers. We're supposed to "have a conversation with them about it"

The hell if you’re SM was behind you! You’re damn right she should have a mask on! Starbucks and other DTs should REQUIRE people to mask up! To damn close to me with no mask on!

some stores consider it rude to tell a customer to wear a mask in DT 🤷♀️ unfortunately i work at one of those stores and i wasn’t in the mood to get my ass ripped

My Sbux is on the outside of a hotel but it connects to the hotel (we’re a corporate store). I get Karen’s all the time that think they can walk through with no mask bc “they’re going to the hotel”.
I love to say “Well honey this is my store and while you’re in it, you must wear a mask. And with the STATE mask mandate, you still gotta wear one in the hotel!” 9 out 10 roll their eyes and put one on; but you always have that one who thinks rules don’t apply to them🙄.

it’s so annoying! i had a guy pull down his mask to unlock his phone to pay with the app, which like fine as long as you put it back on but he keeps it under his chin and was like “yeah but i already took it off for a sec so why does it matter” the entitlement people think they have just shocks me

AGREED. if i ever have to do something like that in public like unlocking my bank app, i squat down and seclude myself and pull it instantly back up. i feel so bad when i have to do that.

We have regulars that come through the drive through daily, who never wear masks but will literally take anything you give them with a wipe over their fingers. They wipe everything, even the food bags. But no masks. People kill me, man.
