we had a guy come through DT today and pay with like 20 different gift cards for three separate orders, and then proceeded to get upset when I used the “wrong ones”...when he’s the one who held them out for me to scan (or handed them to me if they had to be swiped)
he also proceeded to drop $4 into the tip jar and then look at me and go, “uhm where’s the change for my tea? i just gave you 4 dollars for it” AFTER HE PAID WITH ONE OF HIS 20 GIFT CARDS

he told my SM he thought it was a box to keep distance while paying??? Like how other restaurants are using plastic bowls/trays to hand out food and stuff to social distance or whatever. But like, obviously the little plastic jar that says “tips” with cash and change inside is clearly what that was. it was a huge mess and he ended up not actually tipping us because he refused to understand that we told him he already paid for all 3 orders...

i think most customers get upset just because they can, honestly
