So I’m an ex-barista, partner number 254xxxx and I worked at a store in San Francisco. I don’t know why but this only happened to me with people at this specific store even though I was borrowed at like 10 other stores.
Me: hey good morning! How are you?
Customer: venti mocha no whip
Me:
C:
Me: oh ok cool I didn’t know I was playing the part of a robot today
C:
Me: I alsooo am feeling like a mocha today. Now let’s try that again. How are you doing today?
C: (visibly embarrassed for being called out) um I’m good thanks
Honestly like how hard is it to be a decent person to the employees that control your morning?

Some people arent very social and extroverted though.. I feel like those are unnecessarily snarky comments. Plus it makes it easy when they just order and go.

My sm at the time wanted to get that high customer rating 🤷🏼♀️
If it were up to me I would just take the order and let them be in their merry way but since my manager was usually close by I had to make sure I did everything “right”.

Sometimes it just be like that lol.. 256xxxx and I had to try to detach myself from this job bc it was affecting my blood pressure :/ customers are the worst no matter where you go bc people just suck :D

If the customer is gonna be like that why don’t they just use the app instead?
