i think the covid coach would tell you to isolate for 2 weeks but i’m not sure.
i would’ve refused to come in. my family was sick and getting covid tests. i had no symptoms so my SM said i could work. i said no.
“my doctor has told me to self isolate until i get my test results. unfortunately i cannot work until then. i’ll try to help get my shifts covered, but i can’t come in.”
that was it. solid boundaries, my SM knew i was in the right, and together we found coverage for my shifts.

You were in the right, but the standards Starbucks follows also requires you to self isolate if you’ve been told to do so by a qualified health professional. So it wasn’t so much establishing boundaries as it was following procedure.
