The first day I've gone without Starbucks (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by hecaete47
I was hired in May. Since I was hired, the fact that we get a daily free markout has been a fact. I also work 5 days a week, and the two days I don't work I have 3-hour long graduate seminars. So, I need caffeine those days. I also, well work at Starbucks and can use free meals. Obviously when I work, I'm drinking and taking a food markout.

So, all in all, I have literally not gone a day, since at least May, without getting at least one drink and food from Starbucks.

Today was the first day in months, and only because I am just so, so, so socially exhausted that I couldn't deal with being "on" and talking with whoever is working.

It's crazy how this daily free markout has partners coming more than they usually would. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep it as a way to keep baristas hooked and constantly "at" work.

That was honestly one of the reasons I stayed as long as I did. I’m not a partner anymore but I still go every day. Rip to my wallet lol. Yesterday was my first day in months without a Starbucks run just because I was so busy.
