I've Got a "Medical Condition" (self.starbucksbaristas)

There is one physical medical condition that prevents the wearing of a facial covering. It's rare and my shift supervisor couldn't remember the name of it. Any other medical condition that makes the wearing of one truly difficult is mental.

I think it was sensory issues/autism that can be exempt.

I’m pretty sure the “mask exemption for medical issues” only applies to “essential services” like super markets and pharmacies. People need food and medicine they don’t “need” coffee.

That would be a logical application of the law so we know no government would ever do that

In my state, the medical condition exemption applies to everywhere. Some people do need coffee but they can get it from the grocery store.

Any time someone says that they have a “condition” I pretend to get very worried and tell them to wait outside and I’ll take their order/give them their mobile out there. You want to be silly, I’ll get silly.

At my high school some people are allowed to not wear masks bc they have asthma. The school really said “survival of the fittest” and these people still come to school without masks

I had two coworkers with asthma. The first one barely ever took her mask off for a breather, the second one was granted a ten-minute break once an hour because her doctor recommended it. And the first one was a shift supervisor who was great at enforcing our mask policy.
