Decaffed someone for telling me that we deserve to be paid less because we were taking so long. We had a huge mobile order come through and we were in the middle of peak. She walked away with her decaf quad on ice and didn’t say a word. Don’t regret it at all.

We have a regular who comes through and mobile orders in the line to throw our times off. Purposely. Because he comes here so often he knows how our times work. He berates the baristas and says we’re bad at our jobs for not having his second mobile order he JUST put in while in the drive thru. He gets a triple caramel macchiato & white mocha. Before the baby gets to the window I tell the bar partner to check the hopper. That’s our code word for decaffing people now. Best believe all of his drinks get decaf espresso now because every single barista in my store despises him

This. Like REALLY dude? Don’t FUCK with the guy who controls your drug consumption. You’re a dick to me because your 12 shot over ice is taking too long? 11 shots decaf, one normal. I WILL deprive you without regrets. A teenage girl comes in with her friends and sneers at me asking why I work here at my age (24) while ordering a decaf PSL frap? Congrats, I get to chuckle while you start to breathe rapidly and get fidgety while trying to “play it cool” around your friends. Oops, I thought you said add a shot, not an extra pump 😊
