we have a lot of people ask for the reusable hot/cold cups in DT, which usually isn’t a problem since they know which specific one they’re looking for or understand that if we don’t have it that they’ll hold up the line and will either a) pull out of line after getting their order and come inside or b) come inside another time and look for a cup

but today? a woman comes through DT and says “i’m looking for this cup. it’s red.” okay, we have 4 red cups. hot? cold? solid color? pattern?

“i don’t know i don’t speak english. it’s a red cup.” —majority of our customers don’t speak english, so that wasn’t an issue (which she spoke it really well ! she just had trouble explaining what she wanted i think)

anyways, so she doesn’t even order anything?? like at least ask for a water or something ?? but she then got to the window and showed us a picture, it was a hot cup that was red-green gradient. super cute but we had been sold out of it since red cup day. so she literally had me bring every. cup. on. the. shelf. to the window and show her only for her to decide she didn’t want one and drive off upset

if anyone’s wondering, i did tell her that next time she would have to come inside but she scoffed. like, cool i guess.
